Why stay in Silom & Sathorn
Silom and Sathorn are Bangkok’s business district by day and one of its liveliest areas by night. Office towers sit next to street-food stalls, and some of the city’s best-known rooftop bars look out over the Chao Phraya River. It is also home to Lumphini Park, the city’s green escape.
Top things to do in and around Silom and Sathorn:
- Lumphini Park — paddle boats, joggers and the park’s famous monitor lizards.
- Rooftop bars — Silom and Sathorn have several of Bangkok’s best-known sky bars.
- Chao Phraya River — take the BTS to Saphan Taksin for river boats to the Grand Palace and Wat Arun.
- Patpong Night Market — souvenirs and street food after dark.
